Chad J. Willett (Founder/Instructor)                                                                     

Chad J. Willett is the founder of Broadway2LA Acting Studio.  He lived seven years in Los Angeles, California where he acted in film, television and commercials.  He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has a Master’s of Arts in Theater (Miami University).  Works include:

  • Film: Supporting- “Homecoming” (John David Hartfield) Featured- “She’s All That” (Paul Walker & Freddy Prince Jr.), “Can’t Hardly Wait” (Jennifer Love Hewitt)
  • Television: Featured- “Melrose Place” (Alyssa Milano) & “Hang Time”
  • Commercial: Starring/ Supporting- Coca Cola, Reebok, Proctor & Gamble, Bank One & Abercrombie and Fitch
  • Theatre: Lead/ Support- Sweet Charity, A Tale of Two Cities & Wedding Band

 

 

Dr. Ellen Rooney (Instructor)  

MFA and MA from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, and PhD in Theater from BGSU. In LA, she worked at Universal Studios, Fox Studios, The Fredrick Pierce Company in association with the Disney Channel, and Magar Pictures. She also directed and choreographed an award winning adaptation of Working: The Musical at Theatre West, Hollywood. Professional experiences in New York include Director/Choreographer at The People’s Playhouse, East 4th Street, Artistic Director for Kurdish Folk Dance Company, Brooklyn, and company member for Human Arms Dance Company.

Currently, she is a Teaching/Artist with The Cleveland Play House’s Education Program. Other Cleveland credits include Training Simulations with The Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve Law School, Tri-C West Dance Program, University of Akron Theater Department, Geauga Lyric Theater Workshop director. She also taught with Hawken Middle School, The Illusion Factory, and Solon Center for the Arts.
